B.—l
Session II 1912 NEW ZEALAND.
PUBLIC ACCOUNTS FOE THE FINANCIAL YEAR ENDED 31st MARCH, 1912.
Presented to Parliament under the Provisions of Section 84 of the Public Revenues Act, 1910.
Report of the Controller and Auditor-General. The Controller and Auditor-General has the honour to submit to Parliament the Treasury Account showing the Receipts and Expenditure of the Public Account for the financial year ended 31st March, 1912, and to report that the account has been examined and found correct. A full and particular account, in detail, of the expenditure of the Public Account during the above year, as required by the Public Revenues Act, 1910 (section 84), is being prepared by the Treasury Department, the audit of which has been running concurrently with the examination of the paid vouchers. As soon as this account is completed it will be presented to Parliament. With respect to the transactions of the year, it does not appear that any of them call for special mention by the Audit Office, or need any explanation beyond that which the entries in the account afford. Robert J. Collins, Controller and Auditor-General. Audit Office, 30th August, 1912.
