WORKERS' HOMES (LAND PURCHASED FOR) IN PALMERSTON NORTH.
Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the 2nd August, 1912. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return showing the amount of land purchased in Palmerston North by the Government for workers' homes, price per acre paid for such land, names of vendors who received such price, date of purohase, the use such land has been put to, and the amount of revenue derived from the said land up to the present date."—(Mr. Buick )

Amount of land purchased : 24 acres 3 roods 10 perches. 2. Price per acre paid : £100. 3. Names of vendors: C. A. Loughnan, A. Jull, and W. J. Limbrick. 4. Date of purchase : 28th August, 1906. 5. The use such land has been put to : Let for grazing purposes until May, 1912, when the erection of six workers' dwellings was begun. The remainder of the land is still let for grazing, pending the erection of more dwellings. 6. The amount of revenue derived from the said land : £134. J. Lomas, Secretary for Labour.
