RESOLUTION OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA : 1.0. Coinage and Measures. That with a view to facilitating trade and commerce throughout the Empire the question of the advisableness of recommending a reform of the present units of weights, measures, and coins ought to engage the earnest attention of this Conference. RESOLUTION OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED KINGDOM : International Exhibitions. That in view of the International Conference to be held at Berlin in 1912 with a view to the regulation of the conditions under which International Exhibitions should receive support, it is desirable that the Imperial and Dominion Governments shall consider the matter in conjunction, so as to arrange, if possible, for concerted, action upon this subject. Interchange of Civil Servants :— That it is in the interests of the Imperial Government, and also of the Governments of the oversea Dominions, that an interchange of selected officers of the respective Civil Services should take place from time to time, with a view to the acquirement of better knowledge for both services with regard to questions that may arise affecting the respective Governments. RESOLUTION OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA : (7) Emigration. That the Resolution of the Conference of 1907, which was in the following terms, be reaffirmed : — "That it is desirable to encourage British emigrants to proceed to British Colonies rather than foreign countries."
