ANNUAL EBPOETS OF DOMAIN BOARDS.

Ihe Under-Secretary for Lands to the Right Hon. the Minister of Lands. Department of Lands, Wellington, 24th July, 1911. I have the honour to transmit herewith a synopsis of the annual reports of Domain Boards for the year ended 31st December, 1910, which have been furnished in accordance with section 45 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908. The reports, as in previous years, indicate steady improvement of the public domains of the Dominion. Some delay in the receipt of reports has been occasioned by a number of Domain- Boards being under the impression that by forwarding a copy of the annual report and balance-sheet to the Audit Department the provisions of the Act have been complied with, overlooking the fact that a copy should also be sent to the Minister of Lands. The following table shows the number of domains in the various land districts, together with the total areas :—
