OCC U PATION-WITH-RTGHT-OF-PU RCHASE AND OTHER SETTLERS (NUMBER OF, AND PARTICULARS RELATIVE TO).
Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the 31st August, 1911. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return showing—(l) The total number of ocoupation-with-right-of-purohase settlers, and the total area of land held by them; (2) the number of occupation-with-right-of-purchase settlers who have purchased their holdings, and the total amount paid for the same; (3) the number of lease-in-perpetuity settlers who have purchased their holdings, and the amount paid for the earns; (4) the number of lease-in-perpetuity settlers who have exchanged their lease for a renewable lease, and showing the reduction of rent per annum in eaoh oase; and (5) the number of Crown tenants who have taken advantage of the option to pay off a portion of the 90 per cent, allowed by law, and the total amount so paid."—(Mr. Witty.)
