No. 370 (1910).—Petition of Heni te Rei, of Otaki. Petitioner prays for an inquiry re the division of the Poroutawhao Block, 1 am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make with regard to this petition. 17th November, 1910.

[Translation.] No. 370 (1910).—Pitihana a Heni te Rei, o Otaki. E inoi ana kia tu he uiuinga mo te wawahanga o Poroutawhao Poraka. Kua whakahaua ahau kia ripoata kaore kau he kupu a te Komiti mo runga i tenei pitihana 17 o Noema, 1910.

No. 454 (1909).—Petition of Tiemi Hipi and 916 Others, of Ngaitahu. Petitionees pray for an investigation to enable a final settlement of the claims of the Ngaitahu Tribe with reference to the purchase of the Ngaitahu Block by Kemp in 1848. I am directed to report that, in the opinion of the Committee, this petition should be referred to the Government for favourable consideration, and that the minutes of the proceedings in Committee, together with the evidence taken, should be laid upon the table of the House, and be printed. 17th November, 1910.

Petitioner prays for an inquiry re the acquisition and transfer of Section 11, Ruataniwha District, Hawke's Bay, and Waikopiro B No. 16 Block. I am directed to report that, as the petitioner has not exhausted her legal remedies, the Committee has no recommendation to make. 21st November, 1910.

No. 597 (1910). —Petition of Hape Renata and Others, of Masterton. Petitioners pray for an inquiry re title to Te Unuunu Block. I am directed to report that, in the opinion of the Committee, this petition should be referred to the Government for inquiry. 23rd November, 1910.
