ORDERS OF REFERENCE. Extracts from the Journals of the House of Representatives. Friday, the Bth Day of October, 1009. Ordered, " That a Native Affairs Committee be appointed, consisting of ton members, to consider all petitions, reports, returns, and other documents relating to affairs specially affecting the Native race that may be brought before the House this session, and from time to time to report thereon to the House ; with power to call for persons and papers ; three to be a quorum : the Committee to consist of Mr. Te Rangihiroa (Dr. Buck), Mr. Ureenslade, Mr. Herries, Mr. Jennings, Mi - . Kaihau, Mr. Mander, Hon. Mr. Ngata, Mr. Parata, Mr. Rhodes, and the mover."—(Hon. Mi - . Carroll.) Friday, the 12th Day of November, 1909. Ordered, " That the Native Land Bill be referred to the Native Affairs Committee."—(Hon. Mr. Carroll.) Friday, the 26th Day of November, 1909. Ordered, " That the report of the Native Affairs Committee on the petition of Raniera te Rore Taoho and another be referred back to the Committee for consideration."—(Mr. Parata.) Monday, the 20th Day of December, 1909. Ordered, " That the petition of D. A. Poole and others, together with the evidence taken thereon by the Lands Committee, be referred to the Native Affairs Committee."—{Hon. Mr. Carroll.) Ordered, "That the Rotoiti Validation Bill (No. 2) be referred to the Native Affairs Committee."—(Hon. Mr. R. MoKenzie. )
