Proposed operations for ensuing year : Irrigating the drift sand and planting trees. Dunedin Domain. Part of Dunedin Town Belt. Area, 52 acres and 6 perches. Work done during year : New entrance-gates erected, rockery extended and planted, lily-pond formed and planted, hardy fernery extended and improved, house for birds built, beds and borders made and planted, considerable additions made to the collection of plants, elderberry stumped, and native shrubs planted in the openings on the hillside. Improvements now on domain : Fences, superintendent's and watchman's houses, two propagating-houses (with frames), potting-shed, toolhouse, fernery, ladies' cloak-room, band-rotunda, aviary, seats, three bridges, iron entrance-gates, and winter garden. Used for picnics, football, cricket, band concerts, and as a botanic garden. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Repairing paths, adding to rockery, furnishing and planting winter garden, and forming a terrace around the same. The domain continues to increase in popularity and the collection of plants is being added to every year, and, on the completion of the winter garden, it will be possible to grow a representative collection of the plants of the whole world. Dunrobin Domain. Section 31, Block VIII,, Crookston Survey District. Area, 12 acres. Leased on improvement conditions. Work done during year : Domain ploughed and sown with turnips. Improvements now on domain : Fencing. Proposed operations for ensuing year ; Planting trees, repairing fences, and sowing grass.
