No. 616 (1907).—Petition of Inoka Taki Taua and 8 Others, of Whangape. Petitioners pray for restitution of rights in connection with Lot 68, Parish of Whangape. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make on this petition. 25th September, 1907.

Paper No. 167 G, being a Copy of the Report by the Chief Judge op the Native Land Court on the Petition of William Rogers, laid on the Table of the House on the 7th August, 1907, and referred by the House to this Committee. I am directed to report that, in the opinion of the Committee, the Paper No. 167 should be referred to the Government for consideration, with a recommendation that legislation be brought down to give effect to the report furnished by Judge Rawson to the Chief Judge of the Native Land Court. 25th September, 1907.

No. 617 (1907). —Petition of Waata Tahana, of Hokianga Heads. Petitioner prays that he may succeed to his late father's interest in Pakia No. 1 Block. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make on this petition, as the petitioner has not exhausted his legal remedies. 25th September, 1907.

No. 544 (1907). —Petition of Taiawhio te Tau and 2 Others, of Whareama, East Coast. Petitioners pray for further inquiry into the Waimimiha Block, Whareama East. I. am directed to report that, in the opinion of the Committee, this petition should be referred to the Government for favourable consideration, with a strong recommendation that the reserve at Waimimiha should be surveyed at once and the Native owners given possession.. 25th September, 1907.
