The women's ward was rather spoilt by each bed being curtained off by white Hangings. The laundry shows very well what may be well done without special machinery. Dr. Westenra, who has been Surgeon for some years, has left to practise in Christchurch. His departure is much regretted in the district. Dr. McGibbon has been appointed in his place. As Chairman of the Board Mr. Sutton takes great interest in the institution, and spends a good deal of time there. HOKITIKA HOSPITAL.
