RATING-ON-LAND-VALUE SYSTEM (RETURN RELATIVE TO ADOPTION OF) BY DISTRICTS.

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the 26th September, 1906.] Ordered, "That there be laid before this House a return showing (1) the names of the districts which have adopted the rating on-land-value system ; (2) date of adopting poll; (3) the number of votes cast for and against the proposal; (4) rates in the pound levied in each district on (a) the annual value, (6) the capital value, (c) the unimproved value ; (5) the names of the districts where polls have been taken to rescind the decision to adopt the rating-on-land-value Bystem ; (6) the votes cast for and against such rescinding-proposal."—(Mr. Ell.)
