Very dilute tincture of aconilum N. „ belladonna. China. „ mercurious oor. „ cina. Volatile matter, 3'92 gr. per gallon ; insoluable matter, 2 99 gr. per gallon ; sodium-chloride, 0'93 gr. per gallon ; traces of lime, sulphates, and nitrates ; magnesia, nitrates, phosphates, nil; free ammonia, 0-04 parts per million; albuminoid ammonia, 0-036 parts per million. The water is not bad, although not so good as most of the artesian-well water of Christchurch. Volatile matter, 1-96gr. per gallon; sodium-chloride, 0 7 gr. per gallon ; sodium - oarbonate, 26 - 32gr. per gallon; silicate, &o., 0'42gr. per gallon; traces of lime, iron, sulphates. It appears as if the presenoe of sodium-oarbonate was due to an aocident. Volatile matter, 1-12gr. per gallon; sodium-ohloride, 0'91 gr. per gallon : silica, &c, 0-4gr. per gallon; lime, 0-83 gr. per gallon; traoes of iron, magnesia, sulphates ; free ammonia, traoe ; albuminoid ammonia, 0-016 parts per million. A good water. Volatile matter, 1-4gr. per gallon; sodium-chloride, l f 04gr. per gallon; silica, &c.,0'64gr. per gallon; traoes of lime, iron, and sulphate; free ammonia, traoe; albuminoid ammonia, 0004 parts per million. Good water. „ 18 Water from Pareora River, Timaru . 18 Water, Thompson's faotory — filtered town water . 18 Water from well at Sheffield Volatile matter, 1'64 gr. per gallon ; sodium-chloride, 1-65 gr. per gallon ; sodium-oarbonate, 0-4 gr. per gallon; silicates, &c, 0-65gr. per gal Ion; traces of lime, nitrates, ana sulphates; free ammonia, traoe; albuminoid ammonia, 0'004 parts per million. A good water. 57'8 per cent, acetic acid. Free from any injurious ingredients or preservatives, and made from genuine black currants.
