Wairarapa Infectious-diseases Hospital. Suggested Apportionment of the Cost of providing and maintaining Hospitals for the Reception and Treatment of Infectious Cases under Section 4 of "The Public Health Act Amendment Act, 1904."

The above computations are based on the assumption that the boroughs should (owing to the extensive use made by them of infectious-diseases hospitals) contribute 50 per cent, of the cost which has to be borne locally. When these Inspectors were appointed the whole of their salaries was paid by the local bodies, but unfortunately the agreement with the local bodies depending solely on a mutual understanding between the Department and them, many have ceased to pay their contributions towards the Inspectors.
