I have the honour to forward to you the following copy of a resolution passed at the last meeting of the Waimea County Council, and to ask you to convey to Mrs. Seddon and her family the Council's deepest sympathy with them in their late bereavement: "That this Council desires to place on record its deep sense of the very great loss the colony has sustained by the death of the Right Hon. R. J. Seddon, Prime Minister of New Zealand, and this Council also desires to convey to Mrs. Seddon and her family its deepest sympathy with them in their sad bereavement."
