Strathmore, Thursday, Ist June, 1905. The Commission met at 11.50 a.m. Present: Messrs. McKerrow (in the chair), Anstey, Paul, and McCutchan. Absent on sickleave, Mr. Johnston. The following witnesses were heard: Messrs. Finnerty, O'Neil, West, Diggings, Galton, Macaloon, Moir, and Hastie. The Commission adjourned at 2.50, and proceeded to Stratford by coach and special train.

Stratford, Friday, 2nd June, 1905. The Commission met at 10 a.m. Present: Messrs. McKerrow (in the chair), Anstey, Johnston, Paul, and McCutchan. The following witnesses were heard : Messrs. McLuggage, Boddie, Campbell, Mrs. Dougherty, Messrs. Malone, Elwin, Monkhouse, MeLachlan, Cuthbert, Mills, Jordan, Baxter, Richards, Simpson, and Robinson. The Commission adjourned at 9.26 p.m. Mangaweka, Saturday, 3rd June, 1905. The Commission, leaving; Stratford by the mail-train, was prevented by landslips on the railway-line north of Mangaweka from reaching Taihape, and was therefore unable to keep its engagement for a meeting there at 6 p.m. Coaches were secured to take the party on by road in the hope of arriving between 8 and 9 and meeting on arrival, but all the information available was against the attempt to proceed in the dark in the prevailing bad weather, and the Commission staving at Mangaweka held a meeting there, in committee, at 8.30 p.m. The Commission sat till 10 p.m. discussing correspondence and returns to be called for. Taihape, Sunday, 4th June, 1905. The Commission drove to Taihape in the morning, and met there at 2 p.m. Present: Messrs. W. McKerrow (Chairman), Anstey, McCutchan, and Paul. The following witnesses were heard: Messrs. Pulman, Mackenzie, McKean, Croger, Mortensen, O'Brien, and McKean (for Pohonui settlers). Sundries. The Commission adjourned at 4 p.m. Mangaweka, Monday, sth June, 1905. The Commission left Taihape early, and met at Mangaweka at 11.30 a.m. Present: Messrs. McKerrow (Chairman), Anstey, Johnston, McCutchan, and Paul. The following witnesses were heard: Messrs. Guthrie, Marshall, Fitzpatrick, Reardon, Tansey, and Beckett. The Commission adjourned at 3.50, and proceeded by train to Feilding, arriving at 8.12 p.m. Feilding, Tuesday, 6th June, 1905. The Commission met at 9.30 a.m. It was resolved that the Commission drive to Palmerston North for the advertised meeting there through the Aorangi and Te Matua Settlements. _ The following witnesses were heard: Messrs. Mackenzie, Robinson, Watson, Campbell, McParland, Tunnicliff, Whittler, Ferguson, and McKean. The Commission adjourned at 1.30. Palmerston North, Tuesday, 6th June, 1905. The Commission, after driving through the Aorangi and Te Matu Settlements, met at PalmersPresent: Messrs. McKerrow (Chairman), Anstey, Johnston, McCutchan, and Paul. The following witnesses were heard: Messrs. Preece, Richards, Stevens, Vile, M.H.R., Captain Hewett, Messrs. Ranby, Mayo, and Garrett. The Commission adjourned at 10 p.m.

Mangaweka, Saturday, 3rd June, 1905. The Commission met at 9.30 a.m. It was resolved that the Commission drive to Palmerston North for the advertised meeting there through the Aorangi and Te Matua Settlements. . „. „ „ The following witnesses were heard: Messrs.
