The writer says, "It appears that the boundary dividing the two electorates has not been taken along the existing roads, but just where Gohl's Hotel stands, the boundary having been fixed along an old road, which has practically never existed, and which really forms a part of Gohl's farm, the result being that a triangular piece embracing an acre or two upon which the hotel is situated has been cut off from the Awarua Electorate and included in the Mataura Electorate, and that there is really no visible natural mark to distinguish the division between the two electorates at that particular point." Suggesting that the Township of Lumsden be included in the Wallace Electorate Stating request from a number of inhabitants of Mansford Town, Deborah Bay, and the Lower Harbour generally to be included in the Chalmers Electorate Petition against the exclusion of Mansford Town from the Chalmers Electorate and its inclusion in that of Waikouaiti, and praying that Mansford Town and the frontage to the harbour from Port Chalmers to the Heads be included in the Chalmers Electorate, and not in the Waikouaiti Electorate A letter stating that a petition would be presented to the Commissioners to have the Hyde Riding of the Maniototo County included in the Taieri Electorate. The writer was opposed to the alteration, as it would most likely interfere with his business Petition from electors in Hyde Riding of Maniototo County and a portion of the Macrae's Riding of Waihemo to be included in the Taieri Electorate. Map attached Petition from people in Courtenay that they may remain in the Riccarton Electorate Protest from certain of the present Riccarton Electorate against being included in the new Electorate of Courtenay, and suggesting that the Riccarton boundaries should follow along the Kaiapoi Junction Road, as at present, to Coringa Road; thence along Sinclair's Road to the Waimakariri River Letter from George Renner, Kaikoura, objecting to the name " Hurunui" Protesting against the extension of the Hurunui Electoral District from the Clarence River to Cape Campbell, forty-five miles by the shortest available road, and against the cutting-off of Oxford, View Hill, and Woodside, in the Oxford District. He suggests that the Clarence River be the northern boundary of the Hurunui District Petition against the alteration in the Caversham Electorate and division of the Borough of St. Kilda Mr. Gilfedder, M.H.R. Petitioners attach a newspaper-cutting of certain resolutions passed at a public meeting held at St. Kilda Town Hall Protest from the Borough of South Dunedin against the proposed alteration in the Caversham Electorate, for reasons stated Petition by Mr. Wright against the inclusion of Oxford District in the Selwyn Electorate as being detrimental to its best interests.
