GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES IN THE FOUR PRINCIPAL DISTRICTS, AND AMOUNTS PAID TO SAME.
Return to an Order of the House of Representatives, dated the 9th August, 1900. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return showing the number of Civil servants, railway servants, and other persons employed by the Government in the Provincial Districts of Auckland, Wellington, Canterbury, and Otago ; and showing also, under a separate heading, the amounts paid to such Civil servants and other Government employees in each of the four districts named."—(Mr. Fisher.)
