The following cars, brake-vans, wagons, and tarpaulins were completed and added to stock during the year:—

In addition to the above, thirty-two Class P wagons have been converted to twenty-two Class L and ten Class X wagons, the cost of conversion being charged to "Additions to open lines." Carriage'Bepairs and Rebuilding. —650 carriages passed through shops, thirty-three new Class A cars were built, and eight four-wheel and seventeen six-wheel old-type cars were condemned and replaced by twenty new bogie cars, Class A. The following table gives particulars of repairs, &c, to carriages for the year:—

The following new work is in hand : Forty-four Class A cars ; and thirty-three four- and sixwheeled cars are under conversion to double-bogie Class A cars. Brake-van Repairs and Rebuilding. —266 brake-vans passed through shops. Eleven new bogie vans have been built. The following table gives particulars of repairs, &c, to brake-vans for the year:—
