LANDS SETTLEMENT DURING TERMS OF OFFICE OF LATE AND PRESENT MINISTER OF LANDS.

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives, dated 3rd July, 1897. Ordered, "That there be laid before this House a return, being a modification of the return 0.-1., 1895, ' Selectors and Land selected under Settlement Conditions,' showing, during the year the Hon. Mr. Richardson took office, the selectors and land settled from the date of his taking office to the end of the year; and similarly showing during the year the present Minister of Lands took office the settlement from the commencement of the year to the time he took office, and separately from that time to the end of the year."—(Mr. Allen.)
