The lands finally acquired during the year north of Auckland, in the Thames and Coromandel Districts, are valuable from both a mining and settlement point of view In the Kawhia District some 50,000 acres of land of fair average quality also finally acquired (luring the year, are now being cut up for immediate settlement.
