Eegistration of a complete amendment of rules — i.e., of a complete set of new rules—was made in respect of the undermentioned societies and branches : — M.U.1.0.0.F. —Franklin Lodge (Auckland District), Victoria Lodge (Hawke's Bay District), Marlborough Lodge (Marlborough District), North Canterbury District. I.O.O.P.—Lodges Southern Cross and Pioneer of Southland. A.O.F.—Wellington District, Courts Pride of Oamaru, Star of Dunstan, and Star of the South (United Otago District). W.M.C.—Ashburton Club and Mutual School of Arts. I.S.S.—Addington Workshops Band. Eegisteation of Paetial Amendment of Eules. 7. Eegistration of a partial amendment of rules was made in respect of the under-mentioned societies and branches :— • M.U.1.0.0.F. —Warkworth Pioneer Lodge (Auckland District), Wellington District, Eketahuna Lodge (Wellington District), Nelson District, Invercargill District. N.1.0.0.F. —Auckland Provincial District. A.O.F.—Hawke's Bay District, Court Inangahua (Nelson District), Court Southern Cross (South Canterbury District). U.A.O.D.—Lodges Otago, Pacific, and Eoyal Oak. W.M.C.— Sydenham and Addington Working-men's Club and Mutual School of Arts. I.S.S. — Sydenham Brass Band, Sydenham and Suburban Co-operative Money Club, and Timaru United Friendly Societies' Dispensary.
Statistics for 1890. 8. The number of lodges * whose returns are tabulated is 357, and of central bodies 31, distributed according to orders as follows:—
* The word " lodge," when applied to all societies, is to be understood as embracing the synonymous terms " court," " tent," &c, as used in the various orders. 9. In Tables 1., V., and VI., attached to this report, the respective district totals include the funds of the central bodies. 10. In the final column of Table I. is entered the average surplus or deficiency per member, as shown at the last valuation of the society. 11. In the monetary tables, except the first, shillings and pence have been omitted, there being no apparent advantage in publishing the values more accurately than as shown by the nearest pound. 12. The number of members of these lodges at the end of the year was 26,379. 13.
