All of them were quite satisfied with their treatment. The nursing is careful and efficient, while Dr. O'Carroll's attention and kindness are acknowledged all through the district. The surgery and dispensary accounts amounts to £124. An arrangement is made with a local druggist, who sends an assistant to the Hospital daily, to dispense medicines, and, when necessary, prescriptions are ordered by telephone. A small cottage at Hawera is used as a branch hospital, which last year cost £183 13s. lid.
