His certificate was suspended for six months, and he was ordered to pay the costs of the inquiry Vessel wrecked through standing in too close to land in thick weather Vessel sprung a leak, which could not be kept under, as pumps became choked. She had to be abandoned, and drifted on to the rocks on the beach Vessel became unmanageable, owing to headsails being blown away, and master then deemed it advisable to run her on shore.
