It will be seen from this statement that the value of the gravel washed varied from 1-ld. to 5s. If d. per cubic yard; but to take the average of the whole gravel washed, the yield was only 6|d. or about 3|gr. gold per cubic yard. These give the statistics in full detail, and will enable a comparison to be made with the working of hydraulic sluicing claims in this colony.
