Laid before both Houses of the General Assembly in compliance with the 6th section of " The Public Debts Sinking Funds Act, 1868."

The Commissioners of the Public Debts Sinking Funds have the honour to lay before Parliament their report and accounts for the year ended the 31st March, 1886. Nothing has occurred during the year to call for remark except to report that, pursuant to an award made by the Commissioners on the 16th October, 1885, a sum of £25,000, being part of the accumulated Sinking Fund of the New Zealand Loan of 1860, has been released and paid over to the credit of the Consolidated Fund, as provided by the Act.
