* Customs duties were abolished on the 28th September, 1844, by an ordinance imposing a rate upon real property, which ordinance was repealed on the Bth April, 1845, when Customs duties wore again levied. t Province of New Ulster only. I The figures for 1885 were added after the completion of the returns for that year.
