NATIVE RESERVE ACCOUNTS (STATEMENT OF), BY THE PUBLIC TRUSTEE, FOR YEAR ENDED DECEMBER, 1883.
Presented to both Houses of the General Assembly in compliance with Section 12 of " The Native Beserves Act, 1882."
Public Trust Office (Native Beserves Branch), Sib,— Wellington, Bth August, 1884. In compliance with clause 12 of " The Native Reserves Act, 1882," I have the honour to forward herewith the accounts of the reserves vested in me under the aforesaid Act to the 31st December, 1883. The balance in hand belonging to all the estates on the Ist January, 1883, was £3,411 145., and the aggregate income collected from all sources since that date to the 31st December last amounts to £10,822 ss. 6d., making a general total of £14,233 19s. 6d. The expenditure for the same period amounts to £11,877 12s. 10d., leaving a surplus to the credit of the fund of £2,356 6s. Bd. In addition to the general summary of receipts and expenditure herewith, a detailed statement of the account pertaining to each estate is furnished for your information. I have, &c, E. C.
