ARMED CONSTABULARY AND MAORIS (RETURN OF, FOR EACH PROVINCIAL DISTRICT OF NORTH ISLAND).

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives, dated 20th August, 1884. " Ordered, That there be laid on the table a return showing the number of Armed Constabulary stationed in each of the provincial districts of the North Island on the 30th June last, the places in the district at which they are stationed, and the number at each place; also the estimated number of Maoris within the said provincial districts respectively on the 30th Juno." — (Mr. Moss.)
