NATIVE RESERVES, NELSON AND GREYMOUTH. (REPORT FROM MR. A. MACKAY, WITH STATEMENTS OF RECEIPT AND EXPENDITURE.)

Presented to both Houses of the General Assembly by Command of His Excellency.

Mr. Alex. Mackay to the TTwdeb Secbetaey, Native Department. Sib, — Native Reserves Office, Nelson, 10th July, 1876. I have the honor to forward herewith the annual returns of the receipts and expenditure of the Nelson and Greymouth Native Reserve Funds for the financial year ended 30th June, 1876, together with the usual detailed returns for the same period. The total amount collected on account of the Nelson fund during the above-mentioned period, added to the balance on hand at the commencement of the year, amounts to £1,893 7s. Id., and the expenditure for the same time computes a total of £1,795 ss. Id., leaving a balance of £98 2s. to the credit of the fund. The aggregate income received on account of the Greymouth fund from all sources during the same period, augmented by the sum of £2,662 16s. to the credit of the fund on the 30th June, 1875, amounts to £6,875 16s. lid., and the expenditure to £4,143 Is. Bd., leaving a surplus to the credit of the fond to 30th June of £2,732 15s. 3d. I have, &c, Alexander Mackay, The Under Secretary, Native Department, Wellington. Commissioner.
