CORRESPONDENCE BETWEEN THE COLONIAL SECRETARY AND THE SUPERINTENDENTS OF CANTERBURY AND TARANAKI RELATIVE TO UNISSUED DEBENTURES.

That there be laid upon the Table of this House —" Copies of all Correspondence between the Colonial Secretary and the Superintendents of Canterbury and Taranaki on the subject of Debentures of those Provinces which were unissued at the time of the passing of ' Tho Public Debts Act, 1867.' Also, for copies of any Memoranda or other Papers showing the arrangements under which advances were made to any of the Provinces to cover their overdrafts at the Bank of New Zealand which existed at the time of the passing of' The Public Debts Act, 1867.' "
