The grantee is stated to be dead; and his son has addressed a letter to Mr. Clendon on the matter, who is to get survey made. 300 0 0 453 221 H. The Grant issued to H. Taylor cancelled, and new Grants issued to J. L. Campbell, for 2,235 acres. Land Reserved : Compensation recommended. Scrip for £1,000 granted to H. Taylor by Governor Fitzroy, but never issued. Selections then made at Tiritirimatangi, &c, but no grants issued. Claim preferred by Dacre and Campbell. The island oi Tiritirimatangi being required to be reserved as a Pilot Station, its value was assessed at £500, and Scrip issued accordingly, £250 of Scrip being issued to Dacre and Campbell respectively. Grant to H. Taylor for 300 acres, 23rd April, 1844. Grant called in and cancelled. New Grant issued to Robert McLeod for 777 acres at Matuka Bay ; of which 200 acres were purchased in pursuance of pre-emption clause in Land Claims Settlement Act, 1858. Disallowed (including claim 212b.) Grant for 430 acres to Claimant, 8th September, 1843.
