My Lords request that the Colonial Government will instruct their Agent in this country to pay, or will remit through the Treasury Chest the sum of £15 8s. 2d., interest due under the 2nd Section of the Act, at the rate of £5 per cent, on the sum of £7,500, from the 1st January to the 15th January, the date of the arrival of the advice of the payment of the sum of £11 287 10s into the Treasury Chest I have, &c, Sir F. Rogers. In pursuance of the Act 20 & 21, Viet. Cap. 51, Sect. 4, we hereby certify that the sum of Seven thousand five hundred pounds was advanced on the 1st January, 1863, from the Consolidated Fund, under the authority of the 1st Section of the said Act, to enable the Governor and Company of the Bank of England to pay the interest on Debentures of the Guaranteed Loan to New Zealand clue on the 1st January, 1863.
