ORDERS OF REFERENCE Extracts from the Journals of the House of Representatives Wednesday, the 18th Day of July, 1945 Ordered, " That a Select Committee be appointed, consisting of ten members, to consider all matters pertaining to agricultural and pastoral industries and stock which may bo referred to it, with power to confer and sit together with any similar Committee which may bo appointed by the Legislative Council, and to agree to a joint or separate report: tho Committee to consist of Mr. Coulter, Mr. Cullen, Mr. Gordon, Mr. Gillespie, Mr. Herron, Mr. Holyoake, Mr. Langstone, Mr. McCombs, Mr. Williams, and the Mover." —(Hon. Mr. Roberts.) Tuesday, the 9th Day of October, 1945 Ordered, "That tho Agricultural and Pastoral Committee be increased, by leave, to eleven members by the addition of the name of Mr. Walls." —(Hon. Mr. Roberts.)
REPORT No. 32.—Petition of D. S. Turner, of Otumoetai, Tauranga Praying for compensation, for loss sustained through destruction of some 365 citrus-fruit trees on notice by Orchard Inspector, and other relief. I am directed to report that in the opinion of the Committee this petition should be referred to the Government for favourable consideration. C. Morgan Williams, Chairman. 14th September, 1945.
