ORDERS OF REFERENCE. Extracts from the Journals of the House of Representatives. Thursday, the 12th Day of February, 1942. Ordered, " That a. Select Committee be appointed, consisting, by leave, of thirteen members, to consider all matters relating to public health, infectious diseases, contagious diseases, hospitals, and to local authorities having charge of these matters, and to other matters affecting public health which may be referred to it: the Committee to consist of Mr. Anderton, Mr. Boswell, the Hon. Mr. Cobbe, Mr. Coleman, Mrs. Dreaver, Mrs. Grigg, Mr. Kyle, Dr. McMillan, the Hon. Mr. Paikea, Mr. Richards, Mr. Roy, Mrs. Stewart, and the Mover." —(Hon. Mr. Nordmeyer.) Tuesday, the 17th Day or March, 1942. Ordered, "That all petitions not finally dealt with during the session of 1941 be again referred to the same Committees as they were referred to during the said session." —(Right Hon. Mr. Fraser.)
REPORT. No. 8/1942. —Petition of C. Y. Nicholson and 69 Others, of Auckland. Praying that, in the absence of a doctor, a request by a Scout Officer for an ambulance to deal with an urgent case of sickness, be acceded to. I have the honour to report that in the opinion of the Committee the petition should be referred to the Government for most favourable consideration. W. T. Anderton, Chairman. 9th July, 1942.
