Extracts from the Journals of the House of Representatives. Wednesday, the 26th Pay oe July, 1939. Ordered, " That the Meat Bill be referred to the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee."—(Hon. Mr. Lee Martin.) Tuesday, the Ist Pay oe August, 1939. Ordered, " That a Select Committee be appointed, consisting of ten members, to consider all matters pertaining to agricultural and pastoral industries and stock which may be referred to it, with power to confer and sit together with any similar Committee which may be appointed by the Legislative Council, and to agree to a joint or separate report: the Committee to consist of Mr. Barclay, Mr. Boswell, Mr. Burnett, Mr. Gordon, Mr. Kyle, Mr. McCombs, Mr. Roberts, Mr. Skinner, Mr. Williams, and the Mover." —(Hon. Mr. Lee Martin.) Thursday, the 3rd Pay oe August, 1939. Ordered, " That all petitions not finally dealt with during the session of 1938 be again referred to the same Committees as they were referred to during the said session." —(Hon. Mr. Eraser.) Thursday, the 10th Pay of August, 1939. Ordered, " That the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee have leave to sit during the present sitting of the House." —(Mr. Roberts.) Thursday, the 31st Pay oe August, 1939. Ordered, " That the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee have leave to sit during the present sitting of the House."—(Mr. Roberts.) Friday, the 22nd Pay oe September, 1939. Ordered, " That the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee have leave to sit during the present sitting of the House." —(Mr. Roberts.)

Meat Bill. I have the honour to report that the Committee have carefully considered the above Bill, and recommend that it be allowed to proceed., with the amendments shown on the copy of the Bill annexed hereto. 12th September, 1939. B. Roberts, Chairman.
