NATIVE LAND PURCHASED BY THE CROWN (RETURN OF).
Return to an Order of the House of Representatives, dated 2nd September, 1925. Ordered, 44 That there be laid before this House a return showing—(l) The area and cost of urban Native land purchased by the Crown during the years ended the 31st March, 1922, 1923, and 1924 respectively; (2) the area and cost of improved rural Native land purchased by the Crown during the years ended the 31st March, 1922, 1923, and 1924 respectively; and (3) the area and cost ot unimproved rural Native land purchased by the Crown during the years ended the 31st March, 1922, 1923, and 1924 respectively."—(Mr. J. RETURN. (1.) The Area and Cost of Urban Native Land purchased by the Crown during the Years ended 31st March, 1922, 1923, and 1924 respectively.
(2.) The Area and Cost of Improved Rural Native Land purchased by the Crown during the Years ended 31st March, 1922, 1923, and 1924 respectively.
(3.) The Area and Cost of Unimproved Rural Native Land purchased by the Crown during the Years ended the 31st March, 1922, 1923, and 1924 respectively.
Note. —-The above figures do not include expenditure on Urewera consolidated lands, as under :— £ s. d. 1923 .. 1,105 12 7 1924 .. 1,220 3 7 No area can be assigned to these purchases until the areas of the Crown and non-sellers are finally located.
