Ordered, " That Standing Order No. 219 be suspended, and that a Select Committee be appointed, consisting of eleven members, to whom shall be referred'all Bills specially dealing with the revision of the law; with power to confer and sit together with any similar Committee appointed by the Legislative Council ; the Committee to have power to call for persons, papers, and records ; three to be a quorum : the Committee to consist of Mr. Field, the Hon. Mr. Hanan, Mr. Holland, Mr. Lysnar, the Hon. Mr. Ngata, the Hon. Sir R. H. Rhodes, Mr. P. J. Rolleston, Mr. Sidey, the Hon. Mr. Downie Stewart, Mr. Wilford, and tho mover."—(Hon. Mr. Parr.) Ordered, " That the Patents, Designs, and Trade-marks Amendment Bill be referred to the Statutes Revision oimittee." —(Hon. Mr. Parr.) Friday, the 3rd Day of October, 1924. The Statutes Revision Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that the said Bill has been carefully considered, and the Committee recommends that it be allowed to proceed, with amendments as shown on copy of the Bill attached hereto. 9th September, 1924.
