NATIVE LAND COURT. (ORDER OF THE) RELATIVE TO NINIHI Nos. 1 AND 2 BLOCKS.
Presented to both Houses of the General Assembly in pursuance of Subsection (10) of Section 14 of the Native Land Court Act, 1894.
. The Native Land Court Act, 1894. NiNIHI No. 1. In the Native Land Court, New Zealand, Auckland District. —At a sitting of the Court held at Rawene on the 10th day of June, 1905, before James Wakelin Browne, Esq., Judge, and Kingi Ruarangi, Assessor. —In the matter of the Ninihi Block, Heretofore held under an order on investigation of title bearing date the 9th day of November, 1887. Whereas by Order in Council dated the 13th. day of June, 1904, His Excellency the Governor has authorized the said Court to exercise in respect of the said land the jurisdiction conferred under subsection (10) of section 14 of the Native Land Court Act, 1894--that is to say, to determine who are the Natives entitled beneficially to such land by virtue of the trust expressed in the title thereof : to order the inclusion of such Natives in the title, either together with or in lieu of the nominal owners or any of them ; and generally to exercise in respect of the said land the jurisdiction and powers conferred on the said Court by the said subsection and its amendments, so far as the same may be necessary or applicable for the purpose aforesaid : Now, therefore, it is hereby declared that the persons named in the schedule attached hereto, and therein numbered from 1 to 9, both inclusive, are the persons beneficially entitled under the said trust, in the proportions set out after their respective names, to that portion of the said land, containing 152 acres 2 roods 25 perches wdiich has been named by the Court Ninihi No. 1, the boundaries whereof are more particularly delineated in the plan endorsed hereon [not printed] ; and it is hereby ordered that the said order on investigation of title be forthwith cancelled, and that a Land Transfer certificate do issue in favour of the persons named in the said schedule. In the Native Land Court, New Zealand, Auckland District.—At a sitting of the Court held at Kohukohu on the 15th day of July, 1905, before James Wakelin Browne, Esq., Judge, and Kingi Ruarangi, Assessor. —In the matter of the Ninihi Block, heretofore held under an order on investigation of title bearing date the 9th day of November, 1887.
