ORDERS OE REFERENCE. Extracts from the Journals of the House of Representatives. Wednesday, the 14th Day of July, 1920. Ordered, " That Standing Order No. 219 be suspended, and that a Committee be appointed, consisting of eleven members, to whom shall be referred all Bills especially dealing with the revision of the law; with power to confer and sit together with any similar Committee appointed by the Legislative Council; the Committee to have power to call for persons, papers, and records; three to be a quorum : the Committee to consist of Mr. Eield, Hon. Mr. Hanan, Mr. McCallum, Hon. Mr. Parr, Mr. Reed, Mr. Seddon, Mr. Sidey, Mr. Statham, Mr. Stewart, Mr. Wilford, and the mover." —(Hon. Mr. Lee.) Thursday, the 15th Day of July, 1920. Ordered, " That the Destitute Persons Amendment Bill be referred to the Statutes Revision Committee." — (Mr. Haeeis.) Wednesday, the 28th Day oe July, 1920. Ordered, " That the War Regulations Continuance Bill bo referred to the Statutes Revision Committee."—(Right Hon. Mr. Massey.) Tuesday, the 3kd Day oe August, 1920. Ordered, " That the report of the Statutes Revision Committee on the Destitute Persons Amendment Bill bo referred back to the Statutes Revision Committee for further report."—(Mr. Haeeis.) Thuesday, the 12th Day oe August, 1920. Ordered, " That the Legislature Amendment Bill be referred to the Statutes Revision Committee." —(Mr. McCallum.) Thursday, the 2nd Day oe Seftembee, 1920. Ordered, " That the Law Practitioners Amondmont Bill be referred to the Statutes Revision Committee for report."—(Hon. Mr. Lee.)
BBPORTS. Destitute Persons Amendment Bill. The Statutes Revision Committee, to which was referred the above Bill, has the honour to report that it has carefully considered the same, and recommends that it be not allowed to proceed in its present form, but the Committee further recommends that the subject-matter of the Bill be referred to the Government for consideration. 3rd August, 1920.
War Reoulations Continuance Bill. The Statutes Revision Committee, to which was referred the above Bill, has the honour to report that it has carefully considered the same, and recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed without amendment. 12th August, 1920.

Legislature Amendment Bill. The Statutes Revision Committee, to which was referred the above Bill, has the honour to report that it has carefully considered the same, and recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed with the amendments as shown in the copy attached hereto. 9th September, 1920.
Destitute Persons Amendment Bill (Report No. 2). The Statutes Revision Committee, to which was referred the above Bill, has the honour to report that it has carefully considered the same, and recommends that it be not allowed to proceed in its present form. 15th October, 1920.
Law Practitioners Amendment Bill. The Statutes Revision Committee, to which was referred the above Bill, has the honour to report that it has carefully considered the same, and recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed, with the amendment as shown in the copy attached hereto. 20th October, 1920.
Special Report. The members of the Statutes Revision Committee desire to place on record their high appreciation of the valuable services rendered by the Chairman (Mr. Vernon H. Reed), and tender their sincere thanks to him. sth November, 1920.
Special Report. The Statutes Revision Committee, consisting- of eleven members, has during the session held eight meetings, the average attendance at each meeting being five. The following four Bills were referred to the Committee —Destitute Persons Amendment, War Regulations Continuance, Legislature Amendment, and Law Practitioners Amendment —all of which were reported to the House. sth November, 1920.
