Copy op Letter prom His Excellency the Governor op Fiji to His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand, relative to the Visit op the New Zealand Parliamentary Party to Fiji, dated 20th March, 1920. My Lord, — I have the honour to express to Your Excellency, and through you to your Prime Minister, the great pleasure which has been afforded to the Government and people of Fiji by the visit of the New Zealand parliamentary party. The visit has, lam sure, been productive of much good, and will serve to enhance the excellent relations already prevailing between this colony and the great Dominion of New Zealand, to whom Fiji has been so deeply indebted for neighbourly assistance rendered on more than one occasion within the past eighteen months. 2. Fortunately fine weather has prevailed during the visit, and, although the means at our disposal for providing entertainment are small, we hope that our guests have derived as much interest and enjoyment from their stay in Fiji as it has afforded to us 3. The Joint Commission appointed to inquire into trade relations has been able to complete its deliberations, and I understand that it is the intention for the New Zealand members to submit a report to Your Excellency on their return, and for the Fiji members to report to me.
