IRON WATER-PIPES (DUTY PAID ON, AND FACTORIES ENGAGED IN MANUFACTURE OF), DURING 1912-13.

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the sfh September, 1913. Ordered, "That there be laid beifore this House a return relative to iron water-pipes, in continuation of H.-40> Session 11, 1912, and to be brought up to the 31st March, 1913."—(Sir W. C. Buchanan.)

Return showing—(l) Amount of Duty paid at each Port in New Zealand, under the Tariff Act, 1907, and Customs Duties Act, 1908, on Wrought-iron or Steel Water-pipes exceeding 6in. in Diameter, and their Fittings; (2) the Total Amount of Duty paid at each of the Ports of New Zealand up to 31st March last on Cast-iron Pipes exceeding 9in. in Diameter, and their Fittings; (3) the Number of Factories engaged in the Manufacture of Spiral Steel Waterpipes, with the Number of Men employed at each on their Manufacture apart from Laying, together with the Total Wages paid thereon per Annum.
