COOK ISLANDS (MEDICAL ATTENTION IN THE).
Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the 6th September, 1912. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return showing how many Government doctors are stationed at Rarotonga, and how often they visit the outlying islands."—(Mr. Glover.)

Visits paid to Outlying Islands. —Visits are paid to outlying islands as often as communication will allow. The Assistant Medical Officer has lately returned to Rarotonga from Mangaia, where he spent a month. He has also visited the Island of Atiu. The Chief Medical Officer visited che Islands of Mangaia and Aitutaki in April of this year, and the Island of Atiu in May. It was arranged that he should visit the whole of the islands in the Group in the London Missionary Society's steam-yacht " John Williams," which was timed to sail on the 25th ultimo from Rarotonga.
