CARRIAGE OF STARVING STOCK ON RAILWAYS (PARTICULARS RELATIVE TO).
Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the 17th August, 1911. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return showing—(l) the number of starving stock for which applications have been made for carriage one way for the purpose of securing feed ; (2) the number agreed to be so carried by the Eailway Department; and (3) the stations from whioh they were so carried, and the places where such stock were delivered."—(Hon. Mr. T. Duncan.)
■ Pabticulabs belative to Cabbiage of Stabving Stock on Eailways. (1.) Numbeb of starving stock for which applications have been made for carriage one way for the purpose of securing feed : 7,641. (2.) Number agreed to be carried by Bailway Department: 1,755. (3.) Stations from which they were carried, and places where delivered : Hakataramea to Lochiel; Waihao Forks to St. Andrew's. T. Bonayne, General Manager.
