KAURI-GUM LICENSES: NUMBER ISSUED, FEES COLLECTED, AND AMOUNTS PAID TO LOCAL AUTHORITIES, 1st JANUARY TO 31st AUGUST, 1911.
Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the 31st August, 1911. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return showing—(l) The number of kauri-gum licenses (ordinary, special, and buyers') issued in each county since Ist January, 1911 ; (2) the fees collected under each description of license ; (3| the cost of collecting the fees and issuing licenses ; and (4) the amounts paid to the various local authorities under the provisions of the Kauri-gum Indus,ry Act of last session."—(Mr. Stallworthy.)
Statement showing the Number and Classes of Kauri-gum Licenses issued in each County since the 1st January, 1911, to the 31st August, 1911, the Fees collected under each Description of License, the Amounts paid to the various Local Authorities, and the Total Cost of collecting the Fees and issuing Licenses.
The cost of collecting the above fees and issuing licenses, &c, was £753. A sum of £400 15s. has been overpaid to the various local authorities.
