SETTLEMENT ON CROWN LANDS (POSITION OF) UP TO 31st AUGUST, 1910.

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the :ilst August, 1910. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return showing (1) the number of O.K.P. settlers and the total area of land held by them, together with the unimproved value of such land ; (2) the number of O.R.P. settlers who have purchased their holdings, and the total amount of money paid ; (3) the number of L.I.P. settlers who have purchased their holdings, and the total amount paid ; and (4) the number of Crown tenants who have taken advantage of the option to pay off a portion of the 90 per cent, allowed by law, and the total amount so paid."— (Mr. Witty.)
