"NATIVE LAND SETTLEMENT ACT, 1907" (DEALINGS WITH NATIVE LANDS UNDER).

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the 18th September, 1908. Ordered " That there be laid before this House a return showing, to date—(l) the area of Native land vested in each Maori Land Board under section 5 of ' The Native Land Settlement Act, 1907 '; (2) the area of land in each Maori Land District divided in accordance with section 11 of the above Act, showing the area set apart for leasing and for sale by freehold; and (3) the total area in each Maori Land District that has been leased (a) to Maoris, and (fe) to Europeans, or sold to Europeans under the provisions of the above Act."—(Mr. Hbbribs.)
