INCOME-TAX (RETURNS RELATIVE TO).

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the 3rd July, 1908. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return showing the total amount of inoome returned as subject to income-tax, and the total number of taxpayers; the'return further to show the total sum assessed in respect of taxable income between the sums of £300 and £1,000 per annum, and the number of taxpayers; also the like in regard to incomes of between £1,000 and £2,000, £2,000 and £3,000, £3,000 and £4,000, £4,000 and £5,000, £5,000 and £10,000, and over £10,000 per annum.—(Hon. Return showing the Total Amount of Income returned as subject to Income-tax, and the Total Number of Taxpayers; also the Total Sum assessed in respect of Taxable Income between the Sums of £300 and £1,000 per Annum, and the Number of Taxpayers; also the like in regard to Incomes of between £1,000 and £2,000, £2,000 and £3,000, £3,000 and £4,000, £4,000 and £5,000, £5,000 and £10,000, and over £10,000 per Annum (Assessment for 1907-8).
