NEW ZEALAND INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION (RETURNS RELATIVE TO).

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the 2nd October, 1907. Ordered, " That there be laid before this Hout-e a return showing—(l) The total number of persons who passed through the gatts at the Christchurch Exhibition; (2j the number who entered the Exhibition as paying visitors, not including season-ticket holders ; (3) the number of season tickets issued ; and (4) the number of persons permitted to enter without payment."—(Mr. Sidey.)

The total number of persons who passed through the gates of the New Zealand International Exhibition, including 9,238 persons who attended the Seddon Memorial Concert held therein on Sunday, the 3rd March, was 1,967,632 (one million nine hundred and sixty-seven thousand six hundred and thirty-two). 2. The number who entered the Exhibition as paying visitors, not including season-ticket holders, was 983,621 (nine hundred and eighty-three thousand six hundred and twenty-one). 3. The number of season tickets sold and issued was 8,123 (eight thousand one hundred and twenty-three). 4. No record was kept of persons permitted to enter without payment, except the record at the season-ticket holders' gates, which showed a total admittance through these gates of 984,011, including exhibitors, their attendants, and all other persons having free passes.
