CORONERS' INQUESTS (RETURNS RELATIVE TO) IN AUCKLAND, WELLINGTON, CHRISTCHURCH, AND DUNEDIN.

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the 3rd October, 1906. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return showing—(l) The number of inquests held during the two years ending the 30th June, 1906, by the Coroners of the four large centres—viz., Cities of Auokland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin—and the adjacent boroughs and suburbs of eaoh city; (2) the number of inquests held by each Coroner separately ; (3) the number of post-mortems ordered by each Coroner, and the total oost of such postmortems, in each suoh centre ; (4) the oost, inoluding jury fees, incurred by eaoh Coroner in holding such inquests." —(Mr. Bollard.)

Return showing, for the Two Years ended the 30th June, 1906, the Number of Inquests held by the Coroners of the Cities of Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Adjacent Boroughs and Suburbs of each City; the Number of Inquests held by each Coroner separately; the Number of Post-mortems ordered by each Coroner, and the Total Cost of such Post-mortems in each such Centre; and the Cost, including Jury Fees, incurred by each Coroner in holding such Inquests.
