APPLICATIONS FOR POSITIONS IN THE RAILWAY SERVICE: PARTICULARS RELATIVE TO REJECTIONS.

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the 25th July, 1905. Ordered, "That there belaid before this House a return showing (1) how many applications {or positions in the public railway service of this colony have been rejeoted during the past three years (a) on the soore of being ■medically unfit, (6) on the score of being unable to furnish the necessary eduoational standards ;' (2) what fee is paid to medical gentlemen for examination of candidates."—(Mr. Jennings.)
